A. The Difference Between Court-Ordered and Court-Involved Reintegration/Reunification Therapy:
I provide Reintegration/Reunification therapy for clients who 1) have a court order for reintegration therapy or 2) for clients who are court involved. I take two new court-ordered or court-involved cases per month on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Court-Ordered Reintegration/Reunification Therapy: A court order for Reintegration/Reunification is a document signed by a judge that specifically appoints me as the therapist to your case.
- Court-Involved Reintegration/Reunification Therapy: I also provide Reintegration/Reunification for clients without a court order but who are court-involved. Court-involved means that you are or were dealing with a divorce, custody dispute, issue involving domestic violence/protection order, guardianship, etc.
B. The Cost for Reintegration/Reunification Therapy:
Court-Ordered and Court-Involved Reintegration/Reunification Therapy is billed at $200.00/hour.
Payment will be split equally by all parties unless the court order provides otherwise or is agreed to in writing by the parties.
I do not bill insurance; payments must be made out-of-pocket. I encourage you to speak with your insurance provider to see if they will reimburse you for the cost of therapy.
You may be eligible for grant funding through Family Court Services; this is their number: (208)455-6008.
It is extremely hard to predict how many sessions will be needed. The minimum possible number of appointments would be four (intake appointment for Parent A, intake appointment for Parent B, intake appointment for kid/s, and one reintegration therapy session). So at a minimum, the total cost would be $800.00 ($200 per session x 4 sessions). However, most cases range from about 7 to 15 sessions. Thus, the average total cost of therapy ranges from $1,400-to $3,000 ($200 per session x 7-15 sessions).
C. Getting Ready for Court-Ordered Reintegration/Reunification Therapy:
We request that ALL court-ordered, and court-involved clients please listen to this Podcast. You will be asked about it during your initial meeting with Jennifer.
D. The Process for Court-Ordered Reintegration/Reunification Therapy:
Step 1) Contact with My Office. All parties to the case need to email my assistant, Taber, to initiate the intake process. Her email address is ritterandresnick@gmail.com.
Step 2) Email a copy of the court document. Please send Taber a copy of the document signed by the judge appointing me as the therapist to your case.
Step 3) Complete the onboarding paperwork. Each party is to complete their own Court Ordered Onboarding Packet (click to download). Please download the packet, fill out the forms electronically using a platform like Sejda, DocuSign, or DocHub, and email the completed copies to ritterandresnick@gmail.com. If you are unable to complete the forms electronically, please print the forms and mail the signed copies to my address:

Step 4) Schedule a phone call appointment with Taber. After we receive the completed onboarding packet from the parties, Taber will reach out to schedule a phone call appointment. The phone call will be a one-to-one session with Taber that will last approximately 10-15 minutes. The purpose of the phone call appointment is to gather additional details about your case, provide you an opportunity to fill in any gaps or information you would like for me to be made aware of before your session, and to schedule an appointment. There will be a $50 fee for this call.
Step 5) Schedule an intake appointment with me. After the parties have completed their phone call appointment, each party will be eligible to book an intake session if they have not already done so during their phone call appointment with Taber. Intake appointments are to be scheduled by email with Taber and NOT by the client through the website. Each party is to book a separate intake session to meet with me on a one-to-one basis. I will also want to see the child/children for their own intake session. After the parties and child/children have completed their separate intake sessions, I will make a recommendation as to how to proceed with therapy.
*Please be flexible with scheduling. Waiting more than 3 weeks between sessions due to availability may result in referral to another provider and/or resignation from your case.
